Responsibilities: Agency: Long-term strategic direction
| Clients: Consumer electronics and flat panel display practices
Years Experience: 16 and counting
Personal Headline: Spreading the word…worldwide
Favorite Parts: Helping move companies ahead by driving
strategy and overseeing overall client services
Fun Stuff: A self-proclaimed adrenaline junky, I've scuba
dived with sharks, swung on trapezes and zip lined on a volcano in Costa
Rica, although I'm deathly afraid of heights and spewing lava. When not
breaking a sweat, my ultimate passion is lying on some remote beach in
Mexico with a good book and a cold tropical drink.
"Telling the world" is a phrase I interpret literally. Throughout my tenure with MCA, I've driven successful PR programs on both the domestic and international fronts. I feel I bring a balanced perspective to my role here. Not only have I also spent time working in the corporate PR environment (so I mean it when I say to my clients, "I've been in your shoes…"), but my background and training in journalism keeps me honest in making sure I have the media's best interest at heart as well. And while my experience has taken me all over the globe, I find that there's a lot to like back here at MCA. Just look at our employee retention as proof—that in itself speaks volumes as to why MCA is what it is. The people are gregarious and fun but hard-working and committed to their respective clients. I believe these traits make us unique. Methods and media might be new and continually evolving, but personal commitment is an engrained characteristic here. As a group, we promote an environment that helps people advance their craft and grow as individuals—and to always be after their next personal best. We've created a workforce that constantly redefines potential.
MCA has it all, and I like it, or I wouldn't have been here for so long, and neither would the rest of our MCA family for that matter. Together we're stronger and more agile than any one of us could ever be alone. Kind of like ants, except none of us can lift ten times our own body weight.
Responsibilities: Day-to-day operations, and high-level
execution and measurement of client programs
Years Experience: 20 and counting
Personal Headline: Equal parts enthusiasm and coolheaded
execution, fueled by a "yes we can" attitude
Favorite Parts: Ensuring a measurable impact upon clients
business objectiveson time and within budget
Fun Stuff: My husband and twins, Romeo the Cat, singing
with the band, photography, scrapbooking, bargain shopping—I'm also
an information addict, political junkie and song lyric savant.
My career, which has been devoted to developing and executing strategic PR programs for high-tech companies, has only made me increasingly aware of the value MCA delivers. The real difference is how we roll up our sleeves and become the think tank, the right arm and the client's connection to high-impact conversations. We understand the complexities around PR and technology so we can ramp new clients quickly—and we do it on our dime. Regardless of the size of a project or client, we provide what we've coined "extreme" client service, pulling together day or night to deliver the goods. [+]
The result? We are willing to go above and beyond every day to exceed your expectations. This is what really excites me about our business. And because our successes mean very little without the ability to measure results against program objectives, we are obsessed with program ROI.
I take a personal stake in every MCA account, and I share this work ethic with my colleagues. That's one of our qualities that make me most proud. I relish problem solving—in fact, the bigger the crisis, the calmer I get. Some may think I take work too seriously, but that's how I stay on top of my game. At the end of the day, my definition of success is consistently knocking clients' socks off with our passion and our performance. For our clients, this means a lot of executives running around in bare feet!
Responsibilities: Agency: Strategic services, business
development and global programs | Clients: Semiconductor and data storage
practices
Years Experience: 15 and counting
Personal Headline: Leave no stone unturned
Favorite Parts: Helping companies communicate their
strengths and value-add in a credible, clear and concise manner
Fun Stuff: An avid "foodie" and wine connoisseur,
I enjoy venturing into new culinary and wine tasting frontiers wherever
my travels lead me and then integrate what I've learned into my cooking
- sometimes with mixed results.
"Don't think of problems as difficulties. Think of them as opportunities for action." This sums up my approach to PR - looking at every situation as a puzzle or problem with a solution waiting to be discovered, and an opportunity waiting to be had. Whether these problems are large or small, I try to bring a 360 degree perspective to solving them, while leveraging my experience in developing and driving global PR programs for organizations ranging from Fortune 1000 corporations to pre-IPO start-ups across the semiconductor process chain, as well as in related fields. [+]
Whether looking at the big picture to develop PR strategies and best practices for clients across the agency or rolling up my sleeves and diving in to get the job done for a specific project, my ultimate objective is straight-forward - communicating our clients' value-add to their key constituents. Truth be told, the semiconductor industry may seem pretty dry to some on the surface. Yet, with so much innovation taking place in a sector that has such an impact on our everyday lives, I find it truly rewarding to work with the movers and shakers behind that innovation. Maybe I'm a little bit of a tech geek, but if you work with the companies and people that I do, my bet is that you'd probably want to be too. And, I can think of nowhere else to do that than here at MCA, surrounded by such an amazing group of talented and imaginative communications gurus.
